Will CJ7 doors fit a CJ5?

Mechanically, the 5 and 7 are identical. The only difference is the rear driveshaft… well, and lengths of rear brake lines, wiring, fuel lines, etc. The top, doors, rollbar, carpet, etc. will not swap, the front and rear seats will though.

Will CJ7 soft doors fit a YJ?

yes, they will fit. these are CJ doors on my 93 YJ. the only isue you might have is if the CJ doors have the twist style handle, those require a different striker to be put on the jeep tub.

Are YJ and TJ half doors the same?

Yes the TJ windshield is slightly more angled back than the CJ/YJ windshield, but the TJ windshield frame is tapered (thicker at the bottom) so at the door jamb/front of the door the angle is the same on the YJ and the TJ.

Will a CJ hardtop fit a YJ?

It will fit, but you need the right doors as others have said. I had one on my YJ for a while, the only bad thing is they are awkward to open if you still have the original spare tire carrier on the back. You have to slowly open and close them together, but it’s not bad.

As already stated, both the doors and hard top from a CJ7 WILL fit on a YJ. There are a few things to a aware of though. 1: early CJ’s used a “twist” style handle on the doors. If using these early CJ doors, you’ll need to modify the striker on the tub of the YJ.

Seriously: the TJ doors measure 35″ from the front edge of their sheet metal to the rear edge at the latch. By comparison, JK rear doors are only 29.5″ long at the same area of measurement.
