How long do you leave on DuoDERM?
The length of time a DuoDerm patch may be left on a wound is determined by the amount of moisture in the wound. Under normal conditions, DuoDerm can be left on the wound for 3-4 days.
When do you remove DuoDERM dressing?
Generally, hydrocolloid dressings last from 3 to 7 days. Sometimes a hydrocolloid dressing starts coming up at the edges earlier. If so, it needs to be changed earlier. Because they keep the wound moist and protected, the wound does not need to be cleaned daily.

Ease of Application Wash your hands, cleanse and rinse the wound and then dry the surrounding skin. Measure the wound to select the appropriate dressing size, allowing a 3.0cm (1¼ -inch) overlap on intact skin around the whole wound. Warm the dressing between your hands.
