What is Difflam Forte?

Brand name: Difflam Forte Anti-Inflammatory Throat. TM For the temporary relief of painful conditions of the oral cavity including tonsillitis, sore throat, radiation mucositis, aphthous ulcers, post-orosurgical and periodontal procedures, pharyngitis, swelling, redness and inflammatory conditions.

Is benzydamine the same as Difflam?

Benzydamine (also known as Tantum Verde or Difflam), available as the hydrochloride salt, is a locally-acting nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with local anaesthetic and analgesic properties. It is used topically for pain relief and anti-inflammatory treatment of the mouth, throat, or muscoskeletal system.

How do you use Difflam Forte?

Dosage: Use the long nozzle to direct spray onto the affected area for relief of painful conditions of the mouth or throat. Adults: Spray 2-4 sprays directly onto the sore/inflamed area (and swallow gently). Repeat every 1.5 hours to 3 hours as necessary.

Can I take Difflam and paracetamol together?

Difflam spray is not known to affect other medicines. It is okay to use Difflam with other medicines such as painkillers or throat lozenges to treat a sore throat.

What happens if you swallow Difflam oral rinse?

✔️ Spit the rinse out after use, don’t swallow it (although accidental swallowing is unlikely to cause harm). ✔️ Difflam oral rinse should generally be used undiluted, but if you find it makes your mouth sting you can dilute it with an equal volume of water before use.
